This is a great video. I do know how to create websites but it has been so your video is catching me back up to speed. There is one question I have though when creating the folders your way through the desktop the page still keeps the extention of .txt. Can you show me another way of creating the folders.

Hey, I didn’t know if you have ever heard of Komodo edit. Its waaay better than notepad and notepad++. Its free too
if you have the problem of when u make a new doc and save it that it only saves a a text doc just go to wordpad and make a new doc and when u go to save save it as a .html and it will ask are you sure and you click yes

I am a high school teacher, with very limited web page designing and no previous training to teach this part of my curriculum. I’ve founded out that youtube.com is a great teaching tool to teach step-by-step procedures. My question is: I teach students from grades 9-12, many learning styles and modifications. I have the same problem as everyone else, when i save it, it just saves as text document, then whatever i have typed, shows up on the internet, including the tags.

True, you go through things pretty fast, so for a total beginner, perhaps the pause button should be used a few times.
Anybody though with some knowledge of html and CSS will certainly find this very useful for bringing it all together in an imaginary site.

The save thing happed to me. If you open notepad then type your stuff in it then click “save as” then you save it as html

Problem is that Dreamwaever is for windows users only. However you can use Kompozer instead. And follow the tutorial in the same manner, Kompozer is free, Dreamweaver is not. And for linux users you will need to use Kompozer of which is freely available to you
